Jasmine + Weber !!
We put some of our inspos on a Miro Board and discussed some ideas. Jasmine had some inspo around entropy which immediately stood out to me, but we iterated around on a few ideas before settling on our main concept.
We both liked the aesthetic of complex linework diagrams and how that could be animated:
And conceptually we had a discussion about how many people we talk to today feel that they are near-term pessimistic, and long-term optimistic about the future. We thought of showing that through an AI generated image of washington square park where the arch itself would start out in it’s current state, evolve into a cyberpunk version, and then finally into solarpunk.
While we liked the concept, we thought it might not have a strong enough narrative arc. Other ideas we entertained were:
transforming this poem I wrote into an animation in space
fields of spikes that people build to indicate radioactive areas to future civilizations who don’t understand our language
trying to make a person walking through new york and have generative fill of everything around them, similar to this effect but changing the scene instead of the subject
